📌 Quick Answer

NUST NET Series 4 registration opens from April to June 2026. Computer-based tests (CBNET) happen in June 2026 at Islamabad and Quetta. Paper-based tests (PBNET) happen in July 2026 at Karachi and Gilgit. ACT/SAT basis applications are open from 4 May to 25 July 2026 . Selection begins August 2026.

What Is NUST NET Series 4

NET stands for NUST Entry Test. It is the mandatory admission test for all undergraduate programmes at NUST. The university conducts the test in four series throughout the academic year.

Series 4 is the final entry test series for the 2026 admission cycle. If you miss Series 4, you cannot apply for undergraduate admission at NUST this year. The test covers Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and English for engineering programmes. Business and social science applicants take a different subject combination.

Understanding CBNET vs PBNET

CBNET (Computer-Based NUST Entry Test) : You take the test on a computer at a designated centre. Questions appear on screen. You select answers using a mouse. CBNET is available at Islamabad and Quetta centres.

PBNET (Paper-Based NUST Entry Test) : You receive a physical question booklet and an OMR answer sheet. You mark answers with a pencil. PBNET is available at Karachi and Gilgit centres.

Neither format is easier than the other. Choose based on what makes you comfortable and which test centre is closer to your city.
