NUST's Extra Step for Pre-Medical Students: Score 60% in This Math Course by July 15
NUST NET-2026: Pre-Medical students must score 60% in a mandatory Math course by July 15, 2026 to qualify for the Fall merit list.
If you studied FSc Pre-Medical without additional mathematics and applied for NUST NET-2026, you have one more requirement to finish before you can join an engineering program. NUST requires you to complete a mandatory online Math course and score at least 60% marks. The deadline is July 15, 2026.
Today is July 10, 2026. That leaves five days.
If you miss this deadline, NUST will not include you in the Fall 2026 merit list for engineering programs, even if your NET score is strong. NUST has not announced any extension for this cutoff.
This rule applies only to Pre-Medical students who did not study additional mathematics in FSc. If you studied additional math, or you came from an ICS, engineering, or computer science background, this requirement does not apply to you.

Why NUST Added This Rule
Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) sets the minimum math background required for engineering admissions. Students who study Pre-Medical in FSc normally skip additional mathematics, so their math foundation does not meet PEC's standard for engineering programs by default.
NUST added this bridge course so Pre-Medical students can close that gap and legally qualify for an engineering seat under PEC rules.
Is This the Same as the NET-2026 Test Registration?
No. These are two separate requirements.
● NET-2026 Series-4 test registration already closed on 18 June 2026.
● The Math course deadline of July 15, 2026 is an additional, separate requirement only for Pre-Medical students without additional math.
Completing the Math course does not replace the NET test, and passing the NET test does not remove the need to complete the Math course.
