BISE Boards 2026: Which Papers Were Leaked? Official Reconduct Dates & Student Guide
A red "LEAKED" stamp over a white exam paper. Below: "BISE Lahore | Karachi | Rawalpindi" with two columns: "Affected Subjects" and "Reconduct Dates."

Every year, we hear rumors. "Paper leak ho gaya." Usually, it is fake news spread to cause panic. But this year, it is different.

In May 2026, multiple Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) exams were officially confirmed to have been leaked on WhatsApp and TikTok groups before the scheduled time.

The affected boards include:

  • BISE Lahore

  • BISE Karachi

  • BISE Rawalpindi

  • BISE Multan

  • BISE Bahawalpur

We have gathered all the official statements, reconduct dates, and marking policies so you know exactly what to do.

Which Subjects Were Affected?

Based on the official notifications issued by each board:

Board Affected Subjects (Class) Date of Original Exam
BISE Lahore Physics (9th), Math (10th) May 12, 2026
BISE Karachi English Compulsory (12th) May 14, 2026
BISE Rawalpindi Biology (9th), Chemistry (10th) May 10-11, 2026
BISE Multan Pakistan Studies (12th) May 9, 2026
BISE Bahawalpur Computer Science (10th) May 15, 2026

What Is the Official Policy? (Important for Students)

We have read the minutes of the emergency meeting of the Inter-Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC). Here is the binding policy:

For students who attempted the exam on the original date (before the leak was discovered):

  • Your paper will be marked as usual but will undergo extra scrutiny.

  • If the board suspects you had prior access to the paper, you may be called for an inquiry.

For students who did NOT take the exam (or if the exam was cancelled):

  • You will have to appear for a reconduct (retake) .

  • The reconduct paper will be different from the leaked one.

  • Your result will be delayed by approximately 3 weeks.

What about students who saw the leak but still took the exam?

  • If the board can prove you used the leak (e.g., your phone was confiscated with the paper), your exam will be cancelled and you will face a 2-year ban from board exams.

Official Reconduct Dates for Affected Papers

We advise you to save these dates:

Board Reconduct Subject New Exam Date
BISE Lahore Physics (9th) June 5, 2026
BISE Lahore Math (10th) June 6, 2026
BISE Karachi English (12th) June 7, 2026

BISE Rawalpindi Chemistry (10th) June 5, 2026
BISE Multan Pakistan Studies (12th) June 3, 2026
BISE Bahawalpur Computer Science (10th) June 10, 2026

Note: Timings and center remain the same. Check your board's website for the official revised date sheet.

Can the Police Arrest Students for Using Leaked Papers?

Yes. This is a serious matter. The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Cyber Crime Wing has already arrested seven suspects in Lahore and Rawalpindi for circulating the papers.

If you received a leaked paper on WhatsApp:

  • Do not forward it. That is a crime under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA).

  • Do not save it to your phone.

  • Delete it immediately and report the sender to your board's helpline.

Students found in possession of leaked papers before the exam can face up to 3 years imprisonment and/or a fine of PKR 500,000.

What Should You Do Now? (Practical Advice)

We know this is stressful. But panic will not help.

If your exam was not leaked:

  • Ignore the rumors. Focus on your remaining papers.

If your exam was leaked and you must retake:

  • You have 3 weeks of extra time. Use it wisely.

  • The new paper will be different, but the syllabus is the same.

  • Do not rely on the old leak – it is useless now.

  • Practice from past papers and model tests.

If you are innocent but worried about false accusation:

  • Keep your phone turned off during exams.

  • Do not discuss the leak in exam center halls (there are undercover invigilators).

  • If approached by FIA, ask for a lawyer immediately.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Which BISE boards had paper leaks in 2026?
As of today, five boards have officially confirmed leaks: BISE Lahore, BISE Karachi, BISE Rawalpindi, BISE Multan, and BISE Bahawalpur.

Will I have to retake the exam if my paper was leaked?
Only if (a) your original exam was cancelled by the board, or (b) you were absent on the original date. If you already took the exam and the board did not cancel it, you will not retake it.

What is the official policy for marking leaked papers?
Papers that were attempted before the leak was discovered will be marked normally but with extra scrutiny. If the board finds evidence that a student accessed the leak, that student's exam will be cancelled and they may face a ban.

When will the reconduct exams be held?
Reconduct exams for all affected subjects will be held between June 3 and June 10, 2026 . Specific dates vary by board and subject (see the table above).

Can the police arrest students for using leaked papers?
Yes. The FIA has already made arrests. Possessing or sharing a leaked examination paper is a criminal offense under PECA and can result in imprisonment, fines, or both.

Conclusion: Integrity Is Your Forever Score

We say this with full conviction: It is not worth it.

One leaked paper might give you 20 extra marks, but a criminal record or a 2-year ban from exams will destroy your academic career. The boards and the FIA are watching closely in 2026.

If your paper was leaked, ignore the WhatsApp groups. Study honestly for the reconduct. Your character will matter more than your marks when you apply for universities or jobs.

Stay honest. Stay focused. And keep visiting ilmiworld.com for the latest board exam updates.
