The University of Health Sciences (UHS) has officially announced the admission schedule for private medical and dental colleges in Punjab for the 2026-27 academic session. Admissions are conducted through a centralized system following the Punjab government's prescribed policy.

MBBS Admission Deadlines

Candidates seeking admission to MBBS programs in private medical colleges must adhere to the following timeline:

• Applications Open: October 23, 2026
• Submission Deadline: November 6, 2026
• First Selection List: November 18, 2026

BDS Admission Deadlines

The schedule for Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) programs is as follows:

• Applications Open: December 18, 2026
• Submission Deadline: January 1, 2027
• First Selection List: January 13, 2027

Admission Policy and Eligibility

All admissions for public and private medical and dental colleges in Punjab are governed by the policy issued by the provincial government. To be eligible, candidates must have passed the MDCAT and secured at least 60 percent marks in their FSc or equivalent examinations.

The province currently hosts 34 private medical colleges offering 4,500 MBBS seats, alongside 18 private dental colleges with 1,100 BDS seats. The centralized process ensures transparency and adherence to merit-based selection criteria across all affiliated institutions.
