Stipendium Hungaricum 2026 Document Overview

The Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship remains a popular opportunity for Pakistani students to pursue higher education in Hungary. The Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan manages the selection process for these awards. Recently, a ceremony was held to send off 257 students who secured their placements in top Hungarian institutions.

Required Documents for Applicants

While the exact document list for the 2026 cycle must be confirmed via the official portal, applicants generally need to prepare the following based on previous cycles:

• Academic transcripts and certificates verified by the relevant boards or the HEC.
• A valid passport.
• A detailed research proposal (for PhD applicants).
• Letters of recommendation.
• A medical certificate of good health.
• Proof of language proficiency if required by the chosen course.

Note: Always refer to the official Stipendium Hungaricum website and HEC portal for the most recent application guidelines and specific document formats.

Why Verification Matters

The HEC emphasizes the importance of providing accurate and attested documentation. Incomplete or incorrect files often lead to automatic rejection during the preliminary screening phase. Ensure that all your academic certificates are attested by the relevant authorities before the application deadline.
