Punjab Honhaar Scholarship 2026: New Funding Updates for Students

The Punjab government has officially expanded the Punjab Honhaar Scholarship 2026 program to include students from all provinces across Pakistan. This initiative aims to provide equal educational opportunities to undergraduates nationwide.

Expansion to Other Provinces

Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz has confirmed that the scholarship scheme is no longer limited to students within Punjab. Students from Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Gilgit-Baltistan are now eligible to benefit from this program. Specifically, a scholarship fund worth more than Rs 60 million has been announced for 500 students from Gilgit-Baltistan.

Eligibility and Application

The government has established that the same eligibility criteria applied to students in Punjab will be used for applicants from other provinces. The authorities are also working on establishing a dedicated helpline to assist students with the scholarship and laptop scheme processes.

Future Initiatives

The government intends to extend similar financial support to students from Azad Jammu and Kashmir. This move is part of a broader commitment to supporting the educational needs of youth across the country.
